Hi, my name is Jannon LaRae. My clan is the Tabaahi (Water’s
Edge Clan). My parents are Ray and Jolene Russell. I have one sister (Jareth) and one brother (JaCauy). My grandparents
are Jerome, Sr. and Eleanor Pete. We all reside in Beshbetoh, Arizona.
It is a rich landmark west of Steamboat, Arizona
along Highway 264, in a rural area on the Navajo Nation. I am 8 years old. I am a second grader at Ganado
Primary School. I received
the “Quality Award” (the highest award in academics at my school) for the past three years. I like school, at home I play school with my sisters and brother and usually, I’m the teacher. Not only am I an A+ student, I am also on the Student Council and participate in many
school activities/clubs. I am very anxious to compete in high school rodeo because
I enjoy the sport of rodeo. I love the sensation of making my family proud. This is my third year in competition as a junior barrel racer. In 2006, I qualified for the IIFR with both associates AIRCA and CNRA – as a reserve champion. However, I was unable to participate in the finals.
I am very fortunate to be invited to participate and compete in 2007 IIFR in my home state - Chandler, Arizona at the Wild Horse Pass Resort.
I am acquiring experience and I am prepared to compete against the best!
