He is a 4-time World Champion - 1 time All Around and 3 times tie-down roping champion. In his younger
days, he also did the rough stocks going tothe High School
National Finals in the bareback event. He is drawing well on his rodeo experience and common sense while he is giving back
to Indian rodeo. Of all the championship awards he has ever won and of all the prestigious rodeos he has competed in even
Houston, Cheyenne etc, the fact that he is leading Indian rodeo to new heights like introducing and successfully implementing
in 2004 the AIRCA Xtreme Native Tour never been done in Indian rodeo before while also producing top Indian rodeos, he
is earning his biggest and most meaningful reward not as a contestant but as a rodeo producer/administrator/leader.

own: bunch of dogs, one barn cat. Events Worked: Team Roping, and Calf Roping, I used to steer wrestle. Association
member of: AIRCA, Turquoise PRCA Circuit, NNRCA, SWIRA Rodeo Accomplishments: Been rodeoing for 28 years, AIRCA
won all around 6 times on the CR, 13 or 14, NNRCA 6 times cr, and 6 times in the all around, SWIRA: leading the CR, 2nd team
roping. PRCA: circuit finals: 14 times, dodge circuit finals one time Calf Roping, College finalist 2 times, High school finals
2, INFR 21 years straight. When did you start an interest in rodeo? “I was born in to it, my father
was a rodeo cowboy and my mom was in it too". What other sports other than rodeo do you enjoy? "I play a lot
of basketball, used to not anymore now". What is the funniest thing that you have seen or experienced at a rodeo?
"I see a lot of things happen, let me see, it’s probably me, I caught the steer and next thing you know, I popped up
and back on the horse and back behind the saddle". What advice would you give to Indian youth about rodeo or anything
in general?"They got to learn the basics and fundamentals, go home practice right, go to rodeo school, prove your self
and have confidence".
What advice would you give to Indian youth who wanted to participate in rodeo but didn’t have
the resources or support to get involved?"All they have to do
is connect with the right kind of cowboy or cowperson, us cowboys will help them out. A lot of Indians don’t have horses;
so find a cowboy who will help you". Are their any songs that inspire or pump you up before you ride or rope?
"I just believe in myself". What would you like to see more of at Indian Rodeos? "More added money". What
are/is your favorite western movie(s)? The cowboys, John Wayne and those kids. What is your favorite music?
George Strait, Amarillo by Morning. What was your most memorable ride or run? "Probably,
every time I won the Navajo Nation Fair All Around 6 times……!!!! Out of those six times I won the Apache Tribal
Fair too, six years I won the trailer at San Carlos, for six
years I won all of the All Arounds….." Who is your all time hero? Felix Gilbert What Indian
Cowboy or Cowgirl has influenced you to rodeo? "Probably my aunts and uncles influenced me to rodeo, all my relatives.
I never had a job in my life, just rodeo". Would you like to thank sponsors and or anyone for your success in
rodeo? My backbone, my whole family, especially my wife! I have rodeod all my life without sponsors.
