When did you start an interest in rodeo?
Back in HS, I was a Sophomore trying to ride bulls, and it lasted a year. I was terrible at it, getting bucked off, donating money and getting hung up most of the time. So I went from Riding Bulls to Fighting Bulls. Best decision I ever made!
What other sports other than rodeo do you enjoy?
Basketball.
What is the funniest thing that you have seen or experienced at a rodeo?
Where do I begin: Hanging out with some funny characters (friends), always leads to funny moments. They always do something hilarious. I’m sure they wouldn’t want me to tell.
What advice would you give to Indian youth about rodeo or anything in general?
Do what makes you Happy. Live life with an open mind.
What advice would you give to Indian youth who wanted to participate in
rodeo but didn’t have the resources or support to get involved?
There is always someone looking to teach or to inspire. When you find that person, be prepared and be willing to learn their ways. Hard work eventually pays off.
Are there any songs that inspire or pump you up before you enter the arena to protect Bull Riders?
“Becoming The Bull” by Atreyu
What would you like to see more of at Indian Rodeos?
An appreciation for Bull Fighters. We’re always over looked and very under paid.
What are your favorite western movies?
Lonesome Dove, Young Guns, Tombstone and Little Big Man.
What is your favorite music?
Metal relaxes me but gets me wicked pumped before a show. Hip Hop gets me dancing.
What was your most memorable Bull Fight?
My first PBR/PBF event in Farmington, NM. Competed against the top Bull Fighters in North America and in front of my Loving Family.
Who are your all time heroes?
My Mom, Neva Talayumptewa and my Dad, Peter Lincoln.
What Indian Cowboys have influenced you to rodeo?
My friends. Bert Jones, Kevin Salazar and Shawn Reid.
Would you like to thank sponsors and or anyone for your success in rodeo?
I’d like to thank my Parents for being supportive. Thank you to my Kids for inspiring me every day. Hope White, for being my biggest critic, always driving me to be so much better. Thank you very much and I Love You All.
