qualifier, bull riding and steer wrestling. When did you start an interest in rodeo? Ever since I could
remember. Started riding Big bulls When I was 14. What other sports other than rodeo do you enjoy? Hockey’s
alright What is the funniest thing that you have seen or experienced at a rodeo? A Barrel man named too
tall bear. What advice would you give to Indian youth about rodeo or anything in general? Start young,
It takes a long time to get your skills right, and if your going to do something you might as well be the best. What
advice would you give to Indian youth who wanted to participate in rodeo but didn’t have the resources or support
to get involved? There’s always a good cowboy around willing to lend a hand, Learn from the right people and
be the best, and always pray, the lord will ‘never’ fail you. Are their any songs that inspire or pump
you up before you ride or rope? I don’t usually need a song to pump me up but ‘smells like teen spirit’
by Nirvana is pretty pumpy.
What would you like to see more of
at Indian Rodeos? A lot more rough stock hands
that are tougher, and that can do both ends of the arena.
What are/is your favorite western
movie? When the Legends die, 3:10 to Yuma, is pow wow highway considered a western? Bill T Heads on there.
What is your favorite music? Country,
rock and gospel. What was your most
memorable ride or run? I have two, one was at Crow Fair when I won it , the crowd in the short go was crazy. And
the other was when I rode a rank one named 3-D at Cody Snyder’s Bullbustin. Who is your all
time hero? My Dad Nap and Donnie Gay What Indian Cowboy or Cowgirl has influenced you to rodeo?
My brothers Cody and Wes always gave me the best advice, as well as Allison Red Crow. And my cousin the
late Bob “Chief” Running Rabbit, My family holds a bull riding for him in August, it’s a pretty cool one. Would
