The New Mexico Rodeo Council was created by Governor Richardson in order to study how the State of New Mexico can
1) best develop and support the sport of rodeo at the junior, high school, college, and professional levels 2) promote and
attract competitive rodeo events and 3) inform participants, fans and promoters regarding rodeo events and programs throughout
the state.
On behalf of all contestants and producers, we thank you Governor Richardson. We also want to
thank each and every one of the New Mexico Rodeo Council Members who are: Kandace Blanchard, Robin Davis, Robert Detweller,
Dennis Munroe, Lillian Worthen, Mike Pierce, Caroline Stevenson, Mike Waybourn, and Lori Bell.
