The New Mexico Rodeo Council was created by Governor Richardson in order to study how the State of New Mexico can 1) best develop and support the sport of rodeo at the junior, high school, college, and professional levels 2) promote and attract competitive rodeo events and 3) inform participants, fans and promoters regarding rodeo events and programs throughout the state.
