Mission
The
purpose set forth for the International Indian Finals Rodeo is to contribute to the Indian Heritage, culture, and tradition
and to help unify Indian Contestants.
The IIFR and its Affiliated Associations promote the sport of Indian
Rodeo while striving to ensure honesty and fairness to both Indian Contestants and Producers.
It is designed and governed to promote goodwill between the existing rodeo associations across Canada and the United
States.
The
IIFR promotes the highest type of conduct and sportsmanship and expose its positive image to the general public and First
Nation Communities;

Offer a privilege of family bonding
Maintain the highest regard for livestock
The IIFR enables our First Nations Youth to achieve their professional, personal,
and creative potential.
The IIFR and its affiliated Associations must also contribute to the intellectual,
cultural, economic, and social advancement of the First Nation communities and individuals it serves.
About the IIFR
The IIFR goal is to promote the sport of Indian rodeo to new members, the public,
and the sports media. The IIFR offers the next generation of Indian rodeo competitors a place to compete and showcase their
talents in professional rodeo arena.
The IIFR is composed of Associations
from Canada and the United States who send their top representatives to compete for Indian World Titles at the International
Indian Finals Rodeo in the standardized events: Bareback, Saddle Bronc, Bull Riding, Tie Down Roping, Steer Wrestling, Team
Roping, Ladies Barrel Racing, Ladies Breakaway Roping, Junior Barrel Racing, and Junior Steer Riding and Senior Breakaway
Roping.
The IIFR and its affiliated Associations consist of those persons
of Indian Heritage and who have documented proof from a Federally Recognized First Nation or Tribe.
The IIFR Board
of Directors consists of Association representatives, and oversees the long-term direction of the Organization. The board
meets on a regular basis to review and provide strategic planning for the Organization and its Affiliated Associations.
